I chose to study the history of fashion and the trends that have influenced it over the years. I am extremely inspired by street style and fashion due to individuality you can express through clothing. Trends come and go, and you might as well just ride the waves of the trends. As new trends pop up, you might grow attached to certain ones that speak to you.

Whether it’s the snake patterns of Gucci or the cliquey vibes of Anti Social Club, the brands and items help you feel like you are part of a community. However it also means you can start your own trends, creating your own standard of beauty. This then correlates to my design work, giving it a modern and vibrant style that is eye catching. Due to my love for fashion I used this inspiration to invest into the project. I chose to depict the effects of trends, including country of origin, fabric type, gender, the most popular item and cultural influences. This would in turn create of story of fashion around the world.
